What baffles me is why i always wait for someone else to set up the new 'baffles me' thread when the older one starts going kooky...

Vertical radiators in kitchens ,esp when there is plenty of room for horizontal ones, I've seen a few and they look strange ( imo)

A lot of posters gone over the last year.

I think it's become very stagnant on here. We need new posters.

I think I need to get a life and get off here but sure then I might actually get something done. These boards were such a lifeline to me when I was lonely and homesick, then when I was fairly housebound with small kids and little adult company, now I've no excuse and yet I'm still here! I'll have to wean myself off gradually.

While many establushed users like it that way it is a recipe for a slow demise.
I guess as children get older parents don't feel the need for as much support and can naturally drift away as well. Lots of interesting posters have gone in the last 12 months

I miss them too. I like it here, slow though I agree. I can see the appeal of wiping identity here. I know that's been discussed already but I think where ever people are online it should be made easy to erase your digital data in one go. I think also in general people have gone cautious and share less than they did in the past on forums years ago, the craic can be less! If the data wasn't so permanent people might chat a bit more freely.
Wouldn't a section where posts disappear after 24 hours be great!? SnapMammy.

I'm starting to get into mumsnet at the minute as it is just too slow here but it is having a crisis too, talk about bad timing. I think over there the problem is that it is getting too big. It's just not the same as having an Irish community though.

I'm baffled by people who give their kids names they cannot pronounce. Just spent 15 minutes listening to a man roaring after "Ma-choooo".
