Did Amitabh Bachchan ruin Harsha Bhogles career

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, apart from being a legendary actor, is also a huge cricket fan. Big B is one of the few celebrities who post in favour of the Indian team irrespective of the result. The 76-year-old, who is also one of the most active celebrities on social media, also takes out time in order to reply to some of his fans. Soon after Men in Blue defeated South Africa by 28 runs in the 1st T20 international recently, Big B took to Twitter to post a tweet about their victory. The second half of his tweet however caused a stir on social media, as he slammed 'biased commentary.'

"T 2619 - INDIA wins first T20 against SoAf .. brilliant play .. loved the aggression .. and loved the bias commentating .. keep doing that please ..coz' every time you do that we WIN handsomely !" the Bollywood legend tweeted.

Not to forget, Bachchan had slammed Indian commentary in one of his tweets in 2016, which was said to be an indirect dig at renowned Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle.

"T 2184 - With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time," Bachchan tweeted on March 24, 2016.

What had caught the attention of fans in 2016 was the fact that his tweet was immediately endorsed by MS Dhoni.

Bhogle, hailed as the 'Voice of Indian cricket', was sacked from the commentary team by the BCCI. He soon posted a statement on his Facebook page to express his thoughts. In the same statement, Bhogle wrote, "I have, incidentally, sent Mr. Bachchan a DM on twitter offering an explanation (in passing, the fact that he follows me gives me a great buzz!)."

After his acrimonious exit in 2016, Bhogle was not seen on air during the better part of 2016 and earlier part of 2017. He finally made a comeback in the commentary team during India's tour of the West Indies in 2017.

But yet another tweet on 'biased commentary' by Bachchan did not go down well with fans who reckoned he was once again targeting Bhogle. Here are some of the reactions:

Men in Blue are leading the three-match T20I series 1-0 against South Africa. The second match wil be played on Wednesday.
